You must believe in your abilities as this will be your single most marketable quality. It is through this that your clients will feel safe entrusting you with their resources and money and feel that they are investing in the best deal. Freelancers that are just coming up may experience some challenge here as they feel that they may be exposed as talentless frauds at any moment. You must believe in your skills, knowledge, and abilities and as you grow in experience you become more and more desirable.

Hiring a tax lawyer and accountant saves you more money than it costs and can ensure that you are not overspending on tax. Make sure that you have entered your business income and spending on a weekly or monthly basis to avoid tax nightmare come April.

It can be quite challenging to maintain a balance between managing freelancing commitments and parental responsibilities. You need to work along set hours and either setting up a home office or working away from home. You must discipline yourself and not get attached to other commitments when you have a deadline that is coming up really soon.

After your work is done and invoices sent, it can take some time before you receive the payments. It is crucial that you learn how to chase after your payments without badgering clients.
